Purpose: The American Physician Scientists Association (APSA) is a national organization dedicated to addressing the needs of future physician scientists with respect to their training and career development. APSA will be represented at the University of Florida College of Medicine by the APSA student organization.

Activities: APSA Annual Meeting – The APSA annual meeting is held each April in Chicago, IL. This is a joint meeting with ASCA and APA, two prominent physician scientist organizations. The meeting is a great opportunity for students to develop mentor/mentee relationships and meet residency directors from Physician Scientist Training Programs across the country. We will take a group of interested students to this meeting each year.

APSA Regional Meetings - Same as above but on a regional level.

Physician Scientist Speakers – APSA will host a number of speakers who will address important topics concerning training and career development for physician scientists.
