The Reitz Union Game Room is presenting a billiard exhibition by Dominic "The Drill Instructor" Esposito on October 29, 2009, 7pm to 11pm. Dominic will do an entertaining demonstration of the game of billiards; a trick shot demonstration. He will play spectators in a "Beat the Pro" game where the spectators will have a chance of winning prizes. He will show the spectators how to master the playing basics. There will be a question and answer session and a chance for photos with Dominic and to get his autograph. Dominic is a staff writer at the Pool & Billiard Magazine; he is recognized as one of the top 20 instructors in billiards today; he is the author of "Pro Skill Drill" books and DVDs; and the creator of The Jester "Aiming" jump cue stick. Dominic is endorsed by the Predator Group, Pinson Cues, Diamond Billiard Products, Seybert’s, Ozone Billiards, Pool Dawg, Cuestix Billiard Supplies and Nick Varner Cues & Cases. At Reitz Union's "the gallery," the exhibition of Brittany Scroggins and Liz Williams's "Detachment & Recollection" will be open from now until October 8, 2009. The gallery hours are Monday thru Thursday 9am-9pm and Friday thru Sunday 9am-6pm.
This exhibit features work from both Brittany Scroggins and Liz Willams.
The closing reception will be held on October 8, 2009 from 7pm-9pm on the second floor of the Reitz Union in "the gallery." Refreshments will be available. This event was sponsored by the Center for Student Activities and Involvement and the University of Florida.
