Description
Director Quentin Tarantino re-writes history in this new film. The film begins in German-occupied France of the early 1940's, where Nazi colonel Hans Landa is exterminating any Jewish dairy farmers still hiding in the homes of Gentiles. Shoshana Dreyfus and her family are discovered, but she manages to escape the fate Landa condemned her parents to. She retreats to Paris to start her new life as the operator of a cinema, waiting for the sweet taste of revenge. Years later, an American rag-tag group of Jewish soldiers, The Bastards, led by Aldo Raine, are committing targeted acts of retribution against Nazis. They are presented with a mission by undercover agent Bridget Von Hammersmark to take down leaders of the Third Reich in Shoshana's cinema. Twisted acts of fate, grudges and plots all play out in an absurd re-writing of history that only master director Quentin Tarantino could create. Starring: Brad Pitt, Christoph Waltz, and Diane Kruger. Nominated for Best Director in 2008. This film is part of the RUB Entertainment weekly film series, which shows a new, old, foreign and independent film every month for one week each. Running Time: 2hr 33 min; Rating: R; To view a trailer of this film, visit: [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5sQhTVz5IjQ] To find out about more FREE events in the Reitz, become a fan of RUB Entertainment on Facebook or follow RUBentertain on Twitter.

Description
Director Mark Webb presents a quirky romantic comedy full of wit about Summer Finn and Tom Hansen's less than conventional relationship. Summer, (Zooey Deschanel) a recently hired administrative assistant in Tom's greeting card company embodies everything that Tom (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) could wish for in a lover but is reluctant to make his dreams a reality. She doesn’t believe that true love exists because reality prevents something as fickle as love to flourish, but between the trials and tribulations of their lives, love somehow manages to happen and end just as spontaneously. The movie is presented in non-linear pieces of their 500 day relationship to allow the audience to piece together the story on their own and relate to both lovers unique points of view. This film is part of the RUB Entertainment weekly film series, which shows a new, old, foreign and independent film every month for one week each. Running Time: 1 hr 35 min Rating: PG-13 To view a trailer of this film, visit: [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PsD0NpFSADM&feature=fvst] To find out about more FREE events in the Reitz, become a fan of RUB Entertainment on Facebook, follow RUBentertain on Twitter or visit www.union.ufl.edu/rub/.
