Graphic Designer
The Graphic Designer creates print and digital graphic support. Located within Marketing & Strategic Communications, this position serves various departments within the Division of Student Life and the UF community by providing a variety of marketing, design or visual communication support.
Area Specific Job Responsibilities
- Provide creative solutions to produce professional and innovative designs to be utilized on print publications, web graphics, promotional materials and building signage
- Assist with planning and development of marketing campaigns
- Proof all designs for spelling, grammar, and design consistency
- Prepare all artwork for print
- Maintain and organize the database of marketing materials (e.g. working files, style guides)
- Attend design meetings with clients/units
- Completes all training requirements upon begin hired in a timely fashion
- Ability to commit to working 10 or more hours per week
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications

- Demonstrate previous design experience utilizing Adobe Creative Cloud design software
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrate previous experience with customer service
- Demonstrate proficient with verbal and written communication

Marketing & Strategic Communications Staff Member Responsibilities
- Be a current University of Florida full-time student in good standing with at least a 2.0+ GPA
- Respond to and assist with emergency situations and building evacuations per department procedures or as instructed by building management staff.
- Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a high level of professionalism
- Demonstrate a desire and willingness to learn in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
- Establish an exemplary work ethic by being proactive, self-motivated, and dependable
- Participate in all scheduled meetings, trainings, and evaluations
- Possess the ability to work weekends, evenings, holidays and academic breaks, as needed
- Act as an ambassador for the Division of Student Life departments as well as the University of Florida, providing accurate information and campus resources
