The Reitz Union Arts & Crafts Center (ACC) is committed to finding new ways to help you connect with us and your creativity during this time. Our purpose is to provide you with opportunities for relaxation, creative expression, community building, and personal growth.
The health of our staff and customers is of paramount importance. As you look to interact with the ACC, you will notice a number of changes to our facility hours, available services, product offerings as well as cleaning and safety measures. We thank you for your patience and understanding as we work tirelessly to continue to serve the our community through art.

Drop-In Hours (membership, clay, take-home kits and paint-a-pot purchases)
Monday – Friday: 1 – 10 pm
Saturday: 12 – 5 pm (closed for home football games)

Face coverings are mandatory in all UF Facilities, which includes the Reitz Union and Arts & Crafts Center. The ACC is closed on university holidays and breaks.
Use of the studio areas, including the ceramic studio and paint-a-pot area, is by appointment only. The front retail area is open for purchases of memberships, clay, take-home kits and paint-a-pot pieces during normal business hours. If you are a current studio member, instructions on how to make an appointment to use the studio areas will be emailed to you.
Membership is not required to utilize the paint-a-pot area, to make an appointment click here. Seats are limited. All paint-a-pot pieces are also available to take home. Just pick your pot, pick your glaze and you’re good to go!

We are committed to helping customers finish their projects that were in progress when we closed in the spring. Paint-a-pot customers with unfinished pieces from the spring will be provided with glaze and paint brushes are available for purchase. Ceramic studio members from the spring can have work they finish at home bisque fired and will have access to the ceramic glaze room by appointment. Please note that only clay purchased at the Arts & Crafts Center can be fired in our kilns.

Member Workshops are led by our Arts Specialist and are being offered for free during the Summer B term. To register for a workshop email ReitzUnionACCStudio@ufsa.ufl.edu with your selected workshop.

Learn the ancient art of paper folding to create a box and lid.
Supplies needed: decorative paper (scrapbook paper works well), ruler, bone folder (optional).
Friday, August 7
Learn simple techniques to make pretty paper flowers that will never wilt.
Supplies needed: paper (any kind, scrap paper is good for practicing), scissors, markers, crayons, colored pencils for decorating the flowers.

Looking for something fun and creative to do with your group while physically distancing? We will be offering Virtual Socials with arts and crafts activities for groups in the fall. Perfect for parties, team building, or student organization events. Socials will be conducted on Zoom and instruction for the craft activity will be provided by our knowledgeable staff. Virtual Social Crafting Kits can be purchased at the Arts & Crafts Center prior to the social. Groups will have access to a variety of creative and artistic activities such as paint-a-pot, origami, and canvas painting while socializing and building community.
Socials can be scheduled Monday through Friday after 1pm.
