Videographer

The Videographer films events, schedules shoots, and maintains stock images for future marketing, website and social media use. Located within Marketing & Strategic Communications, this position serves various departments within the Division of Student Affairs and the UF community by providing a variety of marketing, design or visual communication support.
 

Area Specific Job Responsibilities

  • Film video of student programs, special events, activities, and scheduled studio shots
  • Edit video using Final Cut Pro X and Adobe Premiere
  • Maintain and organize the database of videos
  • Publish completed image sets to social media
  • Maintain care of video equipment
  • Assist with the planning and development of marketing campaigns
  • Complete all training requirements upon being hired in a timely fashion
  • Ability to commit to working 10 or more hours per week
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Required Qualifications

  • Portfolio submission is required. The portfolio may be submitted via link in the application or by email to Hannah Farrell at HFarrell@ufsa.ufl.edu
  • Demonstrated previous experience utilizing videography and photography equipment and software
  • Must be available to work weekdays, weekends, and evenings

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrate previous experience with customer service
  • Demonstrate proficient with verbal and written communication

 

Additional Information

  • This area is Mac based utilizing Adobe Creative Cloud and Final Cut Pro X

 

Marketing & Strategic Communications Staff Member Responsibilities

  • Be a current University of Florida full-time student in good standing with at least a 2.0+ GPA
  • Respond to and assist with emergency situations and building evacuations per department procedures or as instructed by building management staff.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a high level of professionalism
  • Demonstrate a desire and willingness to learn in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
  • Establish an exemplary work ethic by being proactive, self-motivated, and dependable
  • Participate in all scheduled meetings, trainings, and evaluations
  • Possess the ability to work weekends, evenings, holidays and academic breaks, as needed
  • Act as an ambassador for the Division of Student Affairs departments as well as the University of Florida, providing accurate information and campus resources
